During the week of May 9, 2021, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced this year's inductees that include Carole King, Todd Rundgren, and Tina Turner. King and Turner will both become two-time inductees, with King previously honored in 1987 as part of the songwriting duo, Goffin & King, and Turner in 1991 as one half of Ike & Tina Turner. In addition, Kraftwerk will be inducted as an Early Influence, Clarence Avant will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award, and Billy Preston will be honored posthumously with the Musical Excellence Award. The induction ceremonies will take place October 30 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, OH with a radio simulcast on SiriusXM and will be televised on HBO at some later date.

The first major exhibition of Bob Dylan's artwork in the U.S. will open November 30, 2021 at Florida International University's Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum.
