November 28, 2021 by Amy Gold

During the week of November 21, 2021, ABBA received its first-ever Grammy nomination in its 48-year history for "I Still Have Faith In You," which is in the running for Record of the Year.

Also that week, the long-awaited docuseries, "The Beatles: Get Back," which was shown in three parts on Disney+ beginning on Thanksgiving Day, featured never-before-seen footage of the making of the band's final album that shows all four band members joking around, getting along well, and generally having a good time - disputing previous widely-held notions that the making of their final album and subsequent split were acrimonious and fraught with tension. The main highlight of this series was The Beatles' historic final impromptu rooftop concert on top of Apple headquarters in London, which was shown in its entirety.

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of his album, "Teaser And The Firecat," Yusuf/Cat Stevens has shared a new lyric video for "Morning Has Broken" on his official YouTube channel. The iconic singer-songwriter recently released a 50th anniversary Deluxe Edition of this multi-platinum album featuring previously unheard demos, alternative mixes, and live recordings.

Finally, an acoustic guitar once owned by Eric Clapton fetched $625,000 at a memorabilia sale hosted by Julien's Auctions that took place November 19-20, 2021 in New York City. The instrument, a 1968 Martin D-45 model, was played by the guitar legend at the debut live performance of his group, Derek & The Dominos, which took place in June 1970 at London's Lyceum Theatre.
