December 5, 2021 by Amy Gold

During the week of November 28, 2021, a number of veteran acts made the Top 10 in the 2021 year-end Billboard Top Rock Artists chart, with Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and Queen ranking at nos. 4, 6, and 7, respectively. Other top-ranking bands and artists include Creedence Clearwater Revival (no. 11), The Eagles (no. 12), and Elton John (no. 13). Also, the ever-popular "Queen's Greatest Hits" topped Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart, and other high-ranking recordings include Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" (no. 3), Elton's "Diamonds" (no. 4), Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Chronicle" (no. 5), and The Beatles' "1" (no. 10).

In addition, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' recently-released covers album, "Raise The Roof," made its debut at #7 on the Billboard 200. This recording is the ninth Top 10 album for the former Led Zeppelin lead singer since launching a highly successful solo career in the early 1980s.

Also that week, it was announced that the new Neil Young documentary, "Barn," will be shown in select theaters in the U.S. and Canada beginning December 9, 2021. This movie captures the making of Neil Young & Crazy Horse's same-named album which took place during the COVID-19 pandemic earlier this year in an old log barn in Colorado's Rocky Mountains.

Also, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's "MTV Unplugged" will premiere December 16, 2021 on MTV. In this special, which was filmed earlier this year in New York City, the duo perform various songs from their latest collaborative album, "Love For Sale."
