During the week of October 17, 2021, Elton John scored his first-ever No. 1 hit on Billboard's Hot Dance & Electronic Songs chart with "Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)," his hugely popular collaboration with U.K. pop star Dua Lipa.
Also that week, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced that Paul McCartney and Lionel Richie are among the presenters for the 2021 Induction Ceremony taking place October 30 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland. McCartney will welcome Foo Fighters into the Class of 2021, and Richie will welcome record executive Clarence Avant who will be honored with the prestigious Ahmet Ertegun Award along with being inducted. This event will be broadcast November 20 on HBO and will stream that same day on HBO Max.
"Queen Family Singalong," a star-studded TV special commemorating the band's 50th anniversary, will premiere November 4, 2021 on ABC. Current Queen frontman Adam Lambert and other artists will perform classic songs by the legendary English rock band.
Finally, various songs by The Kinks, The Who, and other veteran bands and artists will be featured in the soundtrack to "Last Night In Soho," a new psychological thriller to debut on October 29, 2021. Highlights include "A World Without Love" by Peter & Gordon, "Wishin' And Hopin'" by Dusty Springfield, "Don't Throw Your Love Away" by The Searchers, "Starstruck" by The Kinks, "(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave" by The Who, and "Land Of 1000 Dances" by The Walker Brothers.
