During the week of April 17, 2022, the first two episodes of the new reality music competition show, "No Cover," premiered online via the Sumerian Records YouTube channel. Alice Cooper is among the panel of judges whose main task is to discover the next top unsigned bands. The winners will be awarded a recording contract with Sumerian Records and will also get signed to a management and booking agency.

Also that week, the first offering in a new line of electric guitars and basses created in partnership between Gibson Brands, Inc. and Gene Simmons of KISS was released. Dubbed the G2 Thunderbird Bass, this top-of-the-line instrument is priced at $2,799 and is available at authorized Gibson dealers and through Gibson.com.

Organizers of the Tribeca Festival announced this year's film lineup which includes three music-related documentaries: "Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs Of Marc Bolan & T. Rex," "Hallelujah: Leonard Cohen, A Journey, A Song," and "The Lost Weekend: A Love Story." Finally, fans have until April 29, 2022 to cast their votes for their favorite Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2022 Nominees. Among those in the running are Dolly Parton, Carly Simon, and Dionne Warwick.
