During the week of July 31, 2022, The Rolling Stones topped Pollstar's list of top touring artists based on total box office grosses and ticket sales over the past 42 years. Other veteran acts with high rankings in this tally include U2 (no. 2), Elton John (no. 3), Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band (no. 4), The Eagles (no. 8), Paul McCartney (no. 10), Billy Joel (no. 11), and Rod Stewart (no. 19).

The James Gang will reunite on stage for the first time since 2006 at the 2022 VetsAid benefit concert taking place November 13 in Columbus, OH. Joe Walsh will be joined by original drummer Jim Fox and bassist Dale Peters, an early member who first came on board in 1969. For more info about this upcoming event, visit VetsAid.org.

Also that week, it was announced that an updated version of Billy Joel's 1990 concert film, "Live At Yankee Stadium," will be shown at select theaters across North America to commemorate his five-decades-long career as a solo artist. This movie features interviews and behind-the-scenes footage as well as performances by the Piano Man at the famous NYC venue of such classics as "Uptown Girl," "We Didn't Start The Fire," and "New York State Of Mind." The screenings will take place October 5 and October 9 in the U.S. and October 5 and October 8 in Canada. Tickets will go on sale August 10 at BillyJoel.film.
