During the week of May 29, 2022, a number of Platinum Jubilee events commemorating Queen Elizabeth's 70th year on the throne took place that included an all-star concert outside Buckingham Palace featuring such veteran artists as Elton John, Queen, Diana Ross, Rod Stewart, and Bonnie Tyler. Also, Tyler and Paul McCartney's daughter Stella, a successful fashion designer, were among those acknowledged in the 2022 edition of Queen Elizabeth's annual Birthday Honours list.

Earth, Wind & Fire are among the many featured performers at the upcoming inaugural "Juneteenth: A Global Celebration of Freedom" concert to be held June 19, 2022 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CNN. Juneteenth (June 19) is a federal holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the U.S.

Pink Floyd is among the latest veteran acts to join TikTok, and the legendary English rock band has made all 15 of its studio albums available to TikTok members to use to soundtrack their own videos creations. Pink Floyd opened an account on May 30, 2022, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the day they began recording "The Dark Side Of The Moon." The band also plans to post unique video clips and content on this platform on a regular basis.

Finally, June 1, 2022 marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the Eagles classic eponymous debut album. This landmark recording, which reached #22 on the Billboard 200 and soon after went platinum, includes the hits, "Peaceful Easy Feeling," "Take It Easy," and "Witchy Woman."
