During the week of September 25, 2022, the late Mama Cass Elliott of The Mamas & The Papas will be honored posthumously with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The award ceremonies are set to take place October 3 and her star will be located at 7065 Hollywood Blvd.

Also that week, Elton John announced that he will soon reveal the winners from among his fans who submitted designs for the official artwork for his new song, "Hold Me Closer," performed with Britney Spears as a duet. The winning designs will be featured on this song's upcoming limited-edition CD single.

"The Last Band On Stage," a new documentary about Chicago and how the band dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic, made its theatrical premiere on September 29, 2022. This film, which is now available both digitally and on demand, features interviews of current members, including co-founders Robert Lamm, James Pankow, and Lee Loughnane, who discuss how the pandemic forced them to put their touring schedule on hold for the first time ever in their long career.

Finally, September 30, 2022 marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Bob Dylan's 30th studio album, "Time Out Of Mind." This platinum-certified recording reached #10 on the Billboard 200 and won three Grammys in 1998 for Album of the Year, Best Contemporary Folk Album, and Best Rock Vocal Performance for the song, "Cold Irons Bound."
