During the week of April 9, 2023, the Library of Congress announced its latest additions to the National Recording Registry for preservation based on their cultural, historical, or aesthetic importance. This year's selections include the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young album, "Deja Vu," plus such oldies classics as The Four Seasons' "Sherry," John Lennon's "Imagine," and Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven."

Joe Walsh of The Eagles was among those named by President Joe Biden to the to the President's Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. Formed in 1982, the committee advises the president on enhancing federal support for the arts, humanities, and museum and library services deemed relevant to the country's health, economy, equity, and civic life.

Also that week, it was announced that "Eric Clapton Across 24 Nights" will be shown in theaters worldwide on May 17, 2023, with an encore screening on May 23. This film captures highlights from the guitar legend's record breaking 24-night run of concerts in 1990 and 1991 at London's Royal Albert Hall. A companion album will also be released on June 23.
