During the week of February 12, 2023, Record Store Day announced its offerings for this year's event to take place April 22 at various independent record stores across the country. Among the releases are recordings by The Allman Brothers Band, The Doors, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Fleetwood Mac, The Grateful Dead, Billy Joel, Elton John, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, The Rolling Stones, Todd Rundgren, T. Also that week, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, NY announced that it is expanding its Oral Histories Project across the U.S. to document the memories of those who attended the 1969 Woodstock Festival. Those who participated in this historic event are invited to share their stories, and museum curators will soon be visiting Columbus, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City to record these experiences firsthand. "Daytime Revolution," a new behind-the-scenes documentary covering the week in 1972 that John Lennon and Yoko Ono co-hosted "The Mike Douglas Show," has just completed production, with no release date announced as of yet. Guests included political activist Ralph Nader, comedian George Carlin, Black Panther chairman Bobby Seale, and rock & roll legend Chuck Berry.

Finally, Dr. Michael Bonshor of the University of Sheffield has come up with a formula to determine which songs make people the happiest, with The Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" topping his list. The Beach Boys also have a second entry in this list's Top 10 at #7 with "I Get Around." Other classic oldies that made the Top 10 include James Brown's "I Got You (I Feel Good)" at #2, Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" at #5, Bob Marley's "Sun Is Shining" at #6, The Village People's "YMCA" at #8, ABBA's "Waterloo" at #9, and Earth, Wind & Fire's "September" at #10.
