During the week of February 5, 2023, the Recording Academy announced this year's Grammy winners, and among the honorees are such veteran artists as Willie Nelson, Aaron Neville, Ozzy Osbourne, Bonnie Raitt, and Edgar Winter. The awards ceremonies were broadcast February 5 live on CBS.

Also that week, Linda Ronstadt's 1970 hit, "Long Long Time," had a resurgence in popularity after being featured in the soundtrack to the third episode of the HBO series, "The Last Of Us." This classic romantic ballad topped the Billboard Rock Digital Songs Sales, LyricFind U.S., and LyricFind Global charts due in part to a steep increase in number of downloads beginning January 27, 2023.

Bette Midler will be presented the Distinguished Collaborator Award at the 25th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards. This honor is given to those who demonstrate unwavering support of costume design and creative partnerships with costume designers. The awards ceremonies will take place February 27, 2023 at The Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles.

Also that week, "The Rolling Stones Chronicles," a new documentary about the legendary rock band's hits from the 1960s, made its premiere on YouTube. This six-part series, each part of which features a different song, kicked off with "The Last Time." Future episodes will focus on "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," "She's A Rainbow," "Street Fighting Man," and "Jumpin' Jack Flash," before wrapping up on March 16 with "Gimme Shelter."

"Love To Love You, Donna Summer," a new documentary about the Queen of Disco, is set to debut sometime this May on HBO and will also be available for streaming on HBO Max. This movie follows Summer's rise to fame from her beginnings in Germany's avant-garde music scene to international acclaim as one of disco's all-time top performing artists.

Finally, the handwritten lyrics to David Bowie's 1972 single, "Aladdin Sane," sold at auction for over $68,000. This lyric sheet was signed and dated by the late rock legend.
