During the week of May 14, 2023, Stevie Wonder was awarded an honorary doctorate from Fordham University in New York City at the commencement ceremonies that took place on May 20. After his speech, the music legend performed his 1973 smash hit, "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life."

The Pointer Sisters' catalog was recently sold to BMG Rights Management GmbH, an international music company based in Berlin, Germany. Assets include the rights to the original masters of albums the group made from 1978-1988 that include such hits as "I'm So Excited," "Automatic," and "Jump (For My Love)."

A special world premiere screening of "Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars: The Motion Picture" is scheduled for July 3 at London's Eventim Apollo Hammersmith to commemorate the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's final show as Ziggy that took place at this venue on July 3, 1973.
