During the week of September 24, 2023, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced that this year's induction ceremonies will stream live November 3 from Brooklyn, NY on Disney+, with featured performers to include Elton John. Honorees include Don Cornelius, Chaka Khan, Al Kooper, Willie Nelson, Bernie Taupin, and Link Wray. A TV special with highlights of this event will premiere January 1, 2024 on ABC.
Also that week, Ringo Starr was inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN and was also honored with the Joe Chambers Musicians Legacy Award. The awards ceremonies took place September 24, 2023 at the downtown location of the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum, with speeches by Peter Frampton and Brenda Lee.
