During the week of September 3, 2023, it was announced that Don McLean and Duane Eddy are among those to be inducted into Nashville's Music City Walk of Fame. The awards ceremonies will take place October 4 at the city's Music Mile across the street from the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Also that week, it was announced that the Grand Ole Opry will honor Johnny Cash in concert on September 12, 2023 which marks the 20th anniversary of his passing. This event can be followed on SiriusXM Willie's Roadhouse as well as the show's flagship radio home, WSM Radio, and its website.

Bonnie Raitt, Pat Benatar, and Neil Giraldo are among the featured performers on the upcoming Season 49 of Austin City Limits which airs on PBS. Benatar and Giraldo will make their ACL debut on September 24, and Raitt will make her return to this show on October 15 after over a decade.

An official trailer has been released for Joan Baez: I Am Noise that covers her final tour. This new documentary will open in New York on October 6, 2023 and will be coming to Los Angeles and other cities beginning October 13.

Also that week, the Osbournes announced the return of their podcast beginning September 12 after a five-year hiatus. Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne will be joined by their kids on this show.

Finally, an auction that took place September 6, 2023 on Sotheby's for various Freddie Mercury personal items brought in a whopping $15.4 million including instruments, jewelry, and rare handwritten lyrics. This auction was the first in a series of six scheduled on Sotheby's dedicated to items once belonging to the late Queen frontman.
