ABOUT
Al Brown (b. May 22, 1934) is an R&B singer who became famous during the early 1960s. He is best known for his rendition of the dance craze song, "The Madison" (1960, with the Tunetoppers and calls by Cookie Brown), which became a Top 20 hit on the R&B charts and made the Pop/Rock Top 40. Jazz pianist Ray Bryant also had a hit the same year with a competing version of this song (titled "Madison Time").
