Andre Gagnon (August 2, 1936 - December 3, 2020) was a Canadian pianist, composer, conductor, arranger, and actor with a unique sound fusing classical and pop who became famous during the mid 1970s. He is best known in the U.S. for the wistful yet funky instrumental hit, "Wow" (1976, billed as Andre Gagnon (The Disco Sound of)). In addition to his numerous compositions, he has also written music for TV, theater, and the movies. Gagnon was the recipient of two Juno awards (1978, 1995) and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada (1978) and an Officer of the National Order of Quebec (2018).
