The Applejacks were a studio group led by producer/arranger Dave Appell (March 24, 1922 - November 18, 2014) that became famous during the late 1950s. They are best known for the 1958 Top 20 instrumental hit, "Mexican Hat Rock," a lively rock & roll arrangement of the Mexican hat dance.
