ABOUT

The Artistics were an R&B vocal group from Chicago that became famous during the late 1960s. The original lineup consisted of former high school classmates Curt Thomas (lead), Larry Johnson (first tenor), Jesse Bolian (second tenor), and Aaron Floyd (baritone bass), with a number of personnel changes. Their best known songs include "I'm Gonna Miss You" (1966), an R&B Top 10 hit. They also served as backing vocalists for Major Lance and others.
