Sir Barry Alan Crompton Gibb is a highly acclaimed and veteran English singer, songwriter, musician, and producer with a trademark falsetto who, with brothers Robin and Maurice, rose to international fame beginning in the late 1960s as founding members of the Bee Gees. As a solo artist, he is best known for "Guilty" (1980) and "What Kind Of Fool" (1981), both performed as duets with Barbra Streisand. As one of pop music's all-time greatest songwriters, he has written/co-written 16 Billboard Hot 100 #1 hits and holds the record with John Lennon and Paul McCartney for the most consecutive #1s (each having six). With his brothers, Gibb was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame In 1994 and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 as a member of the Bee Gees.
