Betty Hutton (February 26, 1921 - March 12, 2007, b. Elizabeth June Thornburg) was an actress, comedian, dancer, and singer known for her high-energy live performances and distinctive "whoop and holler" vocal style who became famous beginning in the 1940s as a star of movie musicals for Paramount Pictures, concurrently recording for the then-newly-formed Capitol Records. As a recording artist, she is best known for the swinging and playful "Doctor, Lawyer, Indian Chief" (1945), which topped the charts. Other major hits include "It Had To Be You" (1944), "Stuff Like That There" (1945), "I Wish I Didn't Love You So" (1947), and "A Bushel And A Peck" (1950). Hutton later starred in her own eponymous TV sitcom from 1959-1960.
