Bill Conti (b. 1942) is a highly acclaimed composer and conductor best known for his soundtracks to such movie blockbusters as "Rocky " (and four sequels), "For Your Eyes Only," and "The Right Stuff," the latter of which earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Score. He topped the charts in 1977 with the rousing "Gonna Fly Now," the theme from "Rocky."
