Billy Butler (June 7, 1945 - March 31, 2015) was an R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who, with his group, The Chanters, became famous during the mid 1960s. He had his biggest hit and crossover success with the upbeat Curtis Mayfield-penned "I Can't Work No Longer" (1965), which made the R&B Top 10. He was the younger brother of R&B superstar Jerry Butler.
