Billy Williams (December 28, 1910 - October 12, 1972) was a pop singer who had a long string of hits during the 1950s. His best known songs include his Top 5 hit rendition of Fats Waller's "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter" (1957), which became a million-seller. Williams had previously led a pop/gospel group known as The Charioteers from 1930-1950.
