ABOUT
Bob Eberly (July 24, 1916 - November 17, 1981) was a hugely popular big band singer with a smooth, velvety baritone who became famous beginning in the mid 1930s as the lead vocalist for the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. His best known songs include such chart-toppers as "Is It True What They Say About Dixie?" (1936), "Change Partners" (1938), and "The Breeze And I" (1940), plus many hit duets with Helen O'Connell that include "Green Eyes" (1941) and "Tangerine" (1942). Later hits include "Hair Of Gold (Eyes Of Blue)" (1948).
