Robert Louis Gordy (July 15, 1931 - October 21, 2022) was a veteran songwriter and music publishing executive who became famous as a recording artist during the late 1950s under the name Bob Kayli. He is best known for the catchy Buddy Holly-styled hit novelty song, "Everyone Was There" (1958), which he co-wrote with his brother, famed Motown founder Berry Gordy Jr.
