Bob Manning (February 1, 1926 - October 23, 1997, b. Manny Levin) was a big band singer with a distinctive baritone who became famous during the 1950s. He is best known for his Top 20 hit cover of the Hoagy Carmichael-penned pop standard, "The Nearness Of You" (1953).
