The Brothers Johnson were a veteran R&B/funk duo consisting of brothers George and Louis Johnson (April 13, 1955 - May 21, 2015) who became famous during the late 1970s and early 1980s. They had their biggest crossover success with "I'll Be Good To You" (1976), which topped the R&B charts and made the Pop/Rock Top 5. They also topped the R&B charts with "Strawberry Letter 23" (1977) and "Stomp!" (1980).
