Bud & Travis were a folk duo from San Francisco, CA consisting of Bud Dashiell (September 28, 1929 - June 2, 1989) and Travis Edmonson (September 23, 1932 - May 9, 2009) who became famous during the early 1960s. They are best known for their hit cover of "Ballad Of The Alamo" (1960) from the soundtrack to "The Alamo" starring John Wayne.
