Woodrow Wilson "Buddy" Johnson (January 10, 1915 - February 9, 1977) was a jump blues pianist and bandleader who became famous during the 1940s. His best known songs include the mellow "When My Man Comes Home" (1944) and the swinging "That's The Stuff You Gotta Watch" (1945), which both feature his sister Ella Johnson as vocalist. Other major hits include "Far Cry" (1948) and "Did You See Jackie Robinson Hit That Ball?" (1949). His many songwriting credits for other artists include "Since I Fell For You" as later made famous by Lenny Welch.
