The Butterflys were singer, songwriter, and producer Ellie Greenwich (October 23, 1940 - August 26, 2009) who is best known as one half of the celebrated husband-wife hit songwriting team, Jeff Barry & Ellie Greenwich. As The Butterflys, Greenwich had one hit in 1964 with the girl group-styled "Good Night Baby," and she also recorded solo under several other names. Greenwich and Barry also recorded as The Raindrops (of "The Kind Of Boy You Can't Forget" fame).
