Byron MacGregor (March 3, 1948 - January 3, 1995, b. Gary Lachlan Mack) was a Canadian radio and TV news anchor and news director who became famous as a recording artist during the mid 1970s. He is best known for his Top 5 smash cover of "Americans" (1974), an editorial featuring "America The Beautiful" played in the background originally written and made into a hit by Canadian journalist Gordon Sinclair.
