The Call was a veteran new wave band from Santa Cruz, CA that became famous during the 1980s. Their best known songs include the energetic "The Walls Came Down" (1983) and the rousing "Let The Day Begin" (1989), the latter of which topped the Billboard U.S. Mainstream Rock chart and was later used by Al Gore in his 2000 Presidential Campaign.
