Cary Grant (January 18, 1904 - November 29, 1986, b. Archibald Alec Leach) was a highly acclaimed and veteran English-American actor, widely considered one of classic Hollywood's definitive leading men, who was known for his blended British and American accent, debonair demeanor, lighthearted approach to acting, and sense of comic timing. He began in vaudeville and sang the lead in two Broadway productions, "A Wonderful Night" (1929) and "Nikki" (1931) opposite Fay Wray. Many years later, the handsome movie star made a splash on the Pop/Rock charts in 1967 with his rendition of the Peggy Lee-penned "Christmas Lullaby." Grant's numerous honors and accolades include an Academy Honorary Award (1970) and the Kennedy Center Honor (1981).
