ABOUT
Charles Fox (b. 1940) is a highly acclaimed and veteran composer for film and TV who became famous beginning in the mid 1960s. As a recording artist, he is best known for "Seasons" (1981), an instrumental based on Pachelbel's Canon in D used as the theme to the 1980 movie, "Ordinary People," co-starring Donald Sutherland and Mary Tyler Moore. Fox's many works include background music for the TV series, "Love, American Style," the theme to the series, "The Love Boat," and the themes to ABC's "Wide World Of Sports" and the original "Monday Night Football." With Norman Gimbel, he co-wrote "Killing Me Softly With His Song" as made famous by Roberta Flack.
