Clout was an all-female rock band from South Africa that became famous during the late 1970s. They are best known in the U.S. and worldwide for their hit rock remake of the Willie H. Wilson-penned ballad, "Substitute" (1978), which topped the charts in South Africa, New Zealand, and many European countries.
