ABOUT
The Cowboy Church Sunday School was a family pop group that became famous during the mid 1950s. They are best known for the Top 10 smash, "Open Up Your Heart (And Let The Sunshine In)" (1955), recorded at a slower speed (33 1/3 rpm) so that the singing voices sound like those of children when played at 45 rpm. Formed by Stuart Hamblen, a singer, songwriter, actor, and radio show host, the lineup included members of his family along with two friends of his daughters.
