Crazy Otto

Crazy Otto (July 4, 1912 - February 14, 1990, b. Fritz Schulz-Reichel) was a classically-trained German jazz and pop pianist with a comedic flair who became famous during the mid 1950s. He is best known for the 1955 honky-tonk instrumental smashes, "Glad Rag Doll" and "Smiles." He invented the Tipsy Wire Box, a device that, when attached to a piano, makes it sound like an out-of-tune barrelhouse upright.
