Darrell Glenn (December 7, 1935 - April 9, 1990) was a singer and songwriter who became famous during the early 1950s. He is best known for the original version of "Crying In The Chapel" (1953), a Top 10 smash which was written by his father, Artie Glenn. This oldies classic was covered by many artists that included Elvis Presley, whose version, released some ten years later, also became a big hit. Darrell Glenn's songwriting credits for other artists include Elvis Presley's "Indescribably Blue," Eddy Arnold's "Bear With Me A Little Longer," and the Grammy-nominated "Only The Redeemed" by Kenneth Copeland.
