David Gates

ABOUT

David Gates (b. 1940) is a highly acclaimed and veteran singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who first became famous during the early 1970s as the lead singer of Bread. Best known for the Top 20 smash, "Goodbye Girl" (1977), the title song from the 1977 movie starring Richard Dreyfuss and Marsha Mason, other hits include "Never Let Her Go" (1975) and "Took The Last Train" (1978). Bread was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2006
