David Whitfield

David Whitfield (February 2, 1925 - January 15, 1980) was an English tenor who became famous in the U.S. during the mid 1950s. His best known songs include his 1954 Top 10 hit rendition of "Cara Mia" (with Mantovani's Orchestra), which topped the U.K. charts and went gold.
