ABOUT
Dean Friedman (b. 1955) is a veteran pop/soft rock singer-songwriter who plays piano, keyboard, guitar, and harmonica. Best known for the upbeat and quirky love song, "Ariel" (1977), which made the U.S. Top 40, Friedman also had several other big hits outside the U.S. that include "Lucky Stars" (1978), which made the Top 10 in Australia, New Zealand, and the U.K. He has composed, performed, and produced the theme music for several TV shows, and his songs have been covered by a number of more contemporary acts such as The Barenaked Ladies.
