Don Henley is a highly acclaimed and veteran singer, songwriter, and musician who became famous beginning in the early 1970s as a founding member of the Eagles, serving as a songwriter, drummer, and singer. As a solo artist, Henley is best known for "Dirty Laundry" (1982), a biting and timeless critique of the sensationalism of mass media, particularly how news outlets focus on negative and scandalous stories and prioritize entertainment over substance. Other big hits include the nostalgic "The Boys Of Summer" (1984) and the reflective "Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough" (1992, with Patty Smyth). His numerous honors include two Grammys and being inducted into the the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 as a member of the Eagles.
