Don Johnson (b. 1949) is an actor and singer-songwriter who became famous as a recording artist during the mid and late 1980s. Best known for the epic Top 5 smash, "Heartbeat" (1986), other major hits include "Heartache Away" (1986) and "Till I Loved You" (1988), the latter performed as a duet with Barbra Streisand. As an actor, he achieved international fame for his role as Detective Sonny Crockett in the 1980s TV series, "Miami Vice," which won him a Golden Globe. He also portrayed the title role in the 1990s series, "Nash Bridges."
