Don Williams (May 27, 1939 - September 8, 2017) was a highly acclaimed and veteran country singer, songwriter, and guitarist with an impressive 17 #1 hits on the Country charts from 1974-1986. He had his greatest crossover success with "I Believe In You" (1980), a Country chart topper that made the Pop/Rock Top 40. Prior to going solo, Williams had been a member of the Pozo-Seco Singers, a late 1960s folk-pop group. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010.
