ABOUT
Donnie Iris (b. 1943) is a veteran rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was a co-founding member of The Jaggerz and had also worked with Wild Cherry before going solo in 1980. He is best known for the self-penned (with Mark Avsec), early rock &B roll-styled "My Girl" (1982), a Top 40 smash not to be confused with the same-named Temptations oldies classic. Other major hits include the catchy and anthemic "Ah! Leah!" (1980) and the energetic "Love Is Like A Rock" (1981), which both also made the Top 40.
