Dottie West (October 11, 1932 - September 4, 1991) was a highly acclaimed and influential country singer-songwriter who became famous beginning in the early 1960s. Her best known songs include "Country Sunshine" (1973), a commercial jingle she wrote for Coca-Cola that reached #2 on the Country charts. She also had many hit duets with Kenny Rogers that included "What Are We Doin' In Love" (1981). West was posthumously inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2018.
