Ed Townsend (April 16, 1929 - August 13, 2003) was a singer, songwriter, producer, and attorney. As a performer, he is best known for the self-penned Top 20 hit, "For Your Love" (1958). His other songwriting credits include "Let's Get It On" which he co-wrote with Marvin Gaye.
