The Elegants

ABOUT

The Elegants were a highly acclaimed and veteran doo-wop group from Staten Island, NY that became famous during the late 1950s. The original lineup consisted of lead singer Vito Picone with Arthur Venosa, Frank Tardogno, Carman Romano, and James Moschello, with a number of personnel changes. They are best known for the dreamy oldies classic, "Little Star" (1958), a tune adapted from "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" that topped both the R&B and Pop/Rock charts.
