Ella Washington


Ella Washington (b. October 25, 1943) is a highly acclaimed ca. late 1960s R&B singer best known for "He Called Me Baby" (1969). This song later topped the Country charts in 1974 for Charlie Rich (as "She Called Me Baby"). During the early 1970s, Washington turned to gospel music and by 2009, had became a church pastor in Opa-locka, FL.
