Elton Britt (June 27, 1913 - June 22, 1972, b. James Elton Baker) was a top selling country singer, songwriter, and guitarist with a great deal of crossover appeal who became famous during the 1940s. He is best known for such Country chart smashes as "Someday" (1946), "Quicksilver" (1950), and "Wave To Me, My Lady" (1946), the latter of which also made the Pop Top 20 along with "There's A Star Spangled Banner Waving Somewhere" (1942).
